The Willa Playschool was founded in 2005 when two mothers who are also educators, were on a quest for a preschool for their 3-year-old boys that supported their desire to maintain a close attachment to their children. They created the school on principles of attachment parenting, inspiration from the schools of Reggio-Emilia, anti-bias practices, and peace education.
The first class that enrolled for the 2005-2006 school year was made up of 4 children. We now operate
at capacity with a small class size of 9 children who are taught by a nurturing, experienced
teacher.
